My Dream Machine -

At last I have my new dream machine I've wanted this machine for a very long time.  I fell totally in love with it about 2 years ago.  Its a Brother, Innovis 2800D!  I have a lot to learn but so far I'm loving how user friendly it is. Brother did a wonderful job designing the program for this machine.  I was so tired the other night when I got it home but I had to tear into it and get it set up.  Below are a few pictures of setting it up.

Below is a close up of the touch screen.  It is fully loaded with a ton of wonderful stitches.  One of my favorite features in here so far is how it tells dummy's like me how to thread it or how to fix what you are doing wrong.  LOVE IT~  It also comes loaded with some Disney Designs that I can't wait to play with.  Planning on learning to embroider tshirts.

It comes with TONS of special feet and gadgets, again lots to learn.  I started singing the little mermaid song at this point... "I've got gadgets and gizmo's of plenty, who's it and whats it galoor."  HUM>..... whats that thing a ma bob for?  Love that when you choose a stitch to stitch out again the machine tells you what foot to choose.  LOVE IT~     Am I saying LOVE IT just a little too much.... guess you understand by now how much I ADORE this machine.

So as you can see I've got lots of learning to do and can't wait to play.  I am starting my first project today going to make my AG doll, Christi, a new dress today.  Thought that be a good project.  So off to play!

American Girl Doll

Have you ever got a "it" gift that you totally unexpected? One that you wanted really bad but thought you'd never get. Well this year my sissy got me my "it" gift. A American girl doll she was hand picked just for me and she is beautiful. My sis picked out a doll that even had my hair color my before die days that is. The company calls her number 38 but I've named her Christmas Jewel, Christi for short.

Some may think its crazy I wanted a doll so yeh if the shoe fits ill claim it. I've learned who cares what others think I don't. I'm all about doing what makes you happy and she makes me happy. I can't wait to make her some cloths so keep eye out on my blog. I intend on sharing what I make for her and plan on using her as my model for cloths to sale in my shop.

So here she is my American Girl Doll.

Here Christi is in her first Dress I made for her.  I got up early on Christmas Morning just so I could make her a dress.  This is a Pillow case dress.  I will offering this style in my shop soon.  And maybe some matching ones for little girl and her doll.  Dont tell my granddaughter that Christi borrowed her hair clips!

Thank YOU so much my sissy for my "IT" gift!

So the plan is after Christmas I have got to reorganize my craft room.  It is driving me crazy but in the mean time I did take some time today and cleared the deck before I begin my next project.  Better look quick cause it never lasts more then a minute.  LOL!

Feeling a little sad today.  Just found out that my daughter and her family won't be able to come tomarrow.  I will miss them but I understand.  I know its part of them growing up and being married.  You have to share them with their mates family too.

I am going into work soon, prep work tonight for Black Friday.  Its always very busy that day but I think its fun and enjoy our customers.   Also want to shop some of the daily door busters for the day before I clock in.  Plan on getting me a new Cricut cartridge, we have a awsome sale going on for them.

Happy Thanksgiving!

A busy but good day off

Today was busy for me but a good busy. First provo craft renewed my faith in their service and got my gypsy up and running again.  This made me one happy girl for sure.  I love my gypsy with out it using my cricut is a pain.  Guess I'm just spoiled like that.

Oh speaking of spoiled I also ordered my Christmas gift today.... yes I know who orders their own gift?  I do!!!  LOL  My sweet husband knew I'd been wanting one and there is no where around here to buy one so he told me to decide if I want that or the e2 so I did some research and decided I'd like to have the best of both worlds.  I love my cricut, but the cameo gives you so much more room to be creative.  So I did some more reserch and found a really good deal on a mega bundle one with a extra 35.00 gift card for the cameo image store.  Plus I found a coupon for 25.00 off and FREE shipping.  Love a good deal.

Next I made me a pot of pouch friendly turkey chili and got busy sewing.  I made a 6 snap bags that are up for sale in my etsy shop.

So a good day!  I LOVE SEWING and CRAFTING!

Quick check in

Just a quick check in!  Why?  Because I'm trying to be a better blogger!  LOL!!!

Thanksgiving will be here in just a few more days and I have a lot to do in that time.  A coat to fix, food to prep, get our family project ready, and get ready for Black Friday at work.  So not much crafting going on.  Although I do have a lil project in mind for my Thankgiving decor I want to do.  I will be posting more about it later to share with you all.

Not sure how much more I will get done for my etsy shop between now and the new year but will try and add a few more items.  After the holidays I will be able to work on it more.

Hope you all have a happy saturday, I am on my way to work!

ZIPPERS

I always avoided zippers in the past maybe just a lil intimidated by them.  But with this product they  are a zip to get in and they look nice and smooth.  Pinning the zippers in and trying to sew them just made it hard and made it look lumpy and they would never be sewn in even.  Steam a seam is my new favorite sewing product!  It alway works great when putting one binding especially in those curved areas.   Today a customer was wanting to hem her pants and she wanted to hand sew them but didn't want to worry with the pins poking her.  I suggested for her to use the temporary Steam a Seam and she called me later to thank me.  Love it when that happens.

That is all for this time.  I hope to post more tomarrow after I get a snap bags made to sale.

A new blog

Ok decided to start me a new blog.  It will be about my crafty adventures, and my family and my everyday life.  I had one before that I wasn't happy with any longer so ready or not here I am!

I am a crafter, I love to create items for fun, and to sale.  I am a grandma to two and a half babies, well I still call them my babies.  I have two daughters, Tabitha who is Zachery's mom and Sara who is Alexandria (lexy's) mom.  I am married to a wonderful man Kevin who is my soul mate and my number one support in everything I do.  My number two supporter is my sissy Teresa who is my best friend.  I would be lost without the above mentioned family.  I have a awsome job that allows me to meet a lot of crafty people, I am a manager at Joann Fabrics here in my home town.

Its getting late so I think I will close for tonight.  Be watchful for more blogs soon.  I plan on posting some photo's soon of some of the items I have available.
